Moroni continues wandering in hiding while the Lamanites kill those refusing to deny Christ. He records Christ's words to his twelve disciples, instructing them to give the Holy Ghost by laying hands on others in his name after prayer.

Jesus Teaches About Giving the Holy Spirit

The words of Jesus. He spoke to his disciples, the twelve he had chosen. He placed his hands on them.

He called them by name. He said: You will pray to the Father in my name. After you do this, you will have power. When you place your hands on someone, you will give the Holy Spirit. You will give it in my name. This is what my apostles do. Jesus spoke these words when he first appeared. The crowd did not hear it. But the disciples heard it. They placed their hands on many people. The Holy Spirit came to them.
