Moroni 3

Christ taught his disciples how to confer the Holy Ghost by laying on of hands. Moroni records how church elders ordained priests and teachers by praying and laying hands on candidates, declaring their office and authority according to God's gifts.

How to Make Priests and Teachers

This is how the disciples, who were called the church leaders, made people priests and teachers. After they prayed to the Father in the name of Christ, they put their hands on them and said,

'In the name of Jesus Christ I make you a priest (or if he is a teacher, I make you a teacher). You will preach about turning away from sin. You will teach that Jesus Christ forgives sins. You will help people have faith in his name until the end. Amen.' This is how they made people priests and teachers. They did it the way God told them to. They made them priests and teachers by the power of the Holy Spirit in them.
