2 Nephi 30

Nephi warns his descendants not to consider themselves more righteous than repentant Gentiles. Repentant Gentiles become covenant people. After the book comes forth, Gentiles carry it to Nephi's remnant, who will learn their Jerusalem origins. God will judge righteously and bring millennial peace.

All People Can Be Saved

I, Nephi, want to speak to you, my dear brothers. Don’t think you are better than the people who aren’t Jews. If you don’t obey God’s commandments, you will all die just like they will. And because of the words I have spoken, you should not think that these other people will be completely destroyed. I tell you, any of these people who turn away from their sins are part of God’s promise. And any Jews who will not turn away from their sins will be cut off. The Lord only makes promises to those who turn away from their sins and believe in his Son, the Holy One of Israel.

The Book Will Come Forth

I want to tell you more about the Jews and other people. After the book I have told you about comes out and is written to other people, and then sealed up again to the Lord, there will be many who believe the words that are written. They will carry them to what is left of our children. Then what is left of our children will know about us. They will learn how we came out from Jerusalem. They will know they are related to the Jews. They will hear the good news of Jesus Christ. So they will know again what their fathers knew. They will also know about Jesus Christ, which their fathers knew about. Then they will be happy. They will know that it is a blessing to them from God. The darkness covering their eyes will start to fall away. Many years will not pass before they become a white and delightsome people. The Jews who are scattered will also start to believe in Christ. They will start to gather in on the earth. As many as believe in Christ will also become a happy people.

God Will Restore His People

The Lord God will start his work among all nations and groups of people. He will bring back his people on the earth.

The Lord God will judge poor people fairly. He will decide what is right for the humble people on the earth. He will hit the earth with the words from his mouth. With his breath he will destroy the bad people. The time is coming soon when the Lord God will separate people into groups. He will destroy the bad people. He will save his people, even if he has to destroy the bad people with fire. Doing what is right will be around his waist like a belt. Being faithful will be like a belt around him.

A Time of Peace

Then the wolf will live with the lamb. The leopard will lie down with the young goat. The calf, the young lion, and the fat animal will be together. A little child will lead them. The cow and the bear will eat together. Their babies will lie down together. The lion will eat grass like a cow. A baby will play on the hole where a poisonous snake lives. A child who does not drink milk anymore will put his hand on where a dangerous snake lives. They will not hurt or kill anywhere on my holy mountain. The earth will be full of knowing about the Lord, like the waters cover the sea.

All Things Will Be Known

So, the things of all nations will be known. All things will be known to people. Nothing is secret that will not be shown. There are no dark deeds that will not be brought into the light. There is nothing sealed on the earth that will not be opened. So, all things that have been shown to people will be shown at that day. Satan will have no power over people’s hearts for a long time. And my dear brothers, I must end what I am saying.
