The Holy Spirit Will Guide You

I, Nephi, think you are wondering what you should do after you have started following God’s way. But why are you wondering about this? Do you remember that I said that after you receive the Holy Spirit, you can speak like angels? How can you speak like angels? Only by the Holy Spirit. Angels speak by the power of the Holy Spirit. So they speak the words of Christ. That’s why I told you to feast on the words of Christ. The words of Christ will tell you everything you should do. So if you don’t understand what I said, it’s because you don’t ask and you don’t knock. You are not brought into the light. You will die in the dark. Again I say to you that if you follow God’s way and receive the Holy Spirit, it will show you everything you should do. This is what Christ teaches. There will be no more teaching until he comes to you in person. When he comes to you in person, you should do the things he tells you.

Nephi’s Sadness

I can’t say any more. The Spirit stops me from speaking. I’m sad because people don’t believe. They are wicked, they don’t know much, and they are stubborn. They won’t search for knowledge. They don’t understand great knowledge when it’s given to them clearly. They don’t understand even when it’s as clear as words can be.

You Must Pray

I know you are still wondering. It makes me sad that I must talk about this. If you would listen to the Spirit that teaches people to pray, you would know that you must pray. The evil spirit doesn’t teach people to pray. The evil spirit teaches them that they must not pray. But you must pray all the time. Don’t give up. You must not do anything for the Lord unless you first pray to the Father in the name of Christ. Ask him to make your work count for something. Ask that your work will help your soul.
