Mosiah 27:9

And he became a great hinderment to the prosperity of the church of God; stealing away the hearts of the people; causing much dissention among the people; giving a chance for the enemy of God to exercise his power over them.

He made it hard for God’s church to grow. He stole people’s hearts away. He caused lots of problems among the people. He gave God’s enemy a chance to have power over them.

He became a huge obstacle to the church of God. He stole people’s hearts away, caused constant conflict, and gave the enemy of God a foothold among them.
