Then Jared said unto his brother, Cry again unto the Lord, and it may be that he will turn away his anger from them which are our friends, that he confound not their language.

Then Jared said to his brother: “Pray to the Lord again. Maybe he will stop being angry at our friends. Ask him not to mix up their language either.”

Paraphrase

Then Jared said to his brother, “Pray again. Maybe the Lord will turn away his anger from our friends too, so their language won’t be confused either.”
