Alma 56:19

And thus were we favored of the Lord: for had they come upon us in this our weakness, they might have perhaps destroyed our little army; but thus were we preserved.

The Lord helped us. If they had attacked us when we were weak, they might have destroyed our little army. But the Lord saved us.

“The Lord was watching out for us. If they’d attacked while we were still vulnerable, they might have wiped out our small army. But we were spared.”
