Alma 3:1

And it came to pass that the Nephites, which were not slain by the weapons of war, after having buried those which had been slain: now the number of the slain were not numbered, because of the greatness of their number; and after they had finished burying their dead, they all returned to their lands, and to their houses, and their wives, and their children.

The Nephites who were not killed in the war buried the people who had been killed. There were so many dead that they did not count them. After they finished burying their dead, they all went back to their lands, their houses, their wives, and their children.

After the battle, the Nephite survivors buried their dead—so many that they didn’t even try to count them all. Then they went home to their families.
