Alma 24:14

And the great God has had mercy on us, and made these things known unto us, that we might not perish; yea, and he hath made these things known unto us beforehand, because he loveth our souls as well as he loveth our children; therefore in his mercy he doth visit us by his angels, that the plan of salvation might be made known unto us as well as unto future generations.

The great God had mercy on us. He told us these things so we wouldn’t die. He told us these things ahead of time because he loves our souls just as much as he loves our children. Because of his mercy, he sends his angels to visit us. That way God’s plan to save us can be told to us and to future families.
