Alma 24:15

O how merciful is our God! And now behold, since it has been as much as we could do to get our stains taken away from us, and our swords are made bright, let us hide them away that they may be kept bright, as a testimony to our God at the last day, or at the day that we shall be brought to stand before him to be judged, that we have not stained our swords in the blood of our brethren since he imparted his word unto us, and has made us clean thereby.

Our God is so kind! Since it took everything we had to get our stains taken away, and our swords are made bright, let’s hide them away. Let them stay bright as proof to our God on the last day. When we stand before him to be judged, this will show we haven’t stained our swords in the blood of our brothers since he gave us his word and made us clean.

How merciful our God is! It took everything we had to get our stains removed and our swords made bright. So let’s hide them away and keep them bright as proof to God on judgment day—proof that we never stained our swords with our brothers’ blood after he gave us his word and made us clean.
