Mormon’s Message to the Remnant
I want to say something to the people who are left. I hope God will let them hear my words. Then they can know about their ancestors. I am speaking to you who are left from the house of Israel. Here are the words I want to say:
Know that you are from the house of Israel. Know that you must turn away from your sins. If you don’t, you can’t be saved. Know that you must stop fighting wars. Don’t be happy about killing people anymore. Don’t pick up weapons again unless God tells you to. Know that you must learn about your ancestors. Turn away from all your sins and bad things you have done. Believe in Jesus Christ. He is the Son of God. The Jews killed him. But God the Father brought him back to life. Jesus won over death. He brings dead people back to life. Everyone must stand before him to be judged. He saved the world. People who are not guilty when he judges them will get to live with God in his kingdom. They will sing praises forever with the angels above. They will praise the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are one God. They will be happy forever.
The Gospel and God’s Records
So turn away from your sins. Be baptized in the name of Jesus. Hold on to the gospel of Christ. You will find it in this record. You will also find it in the record that will come to you from the Jews through the Gentiles. This is written so you may believe that record. If you believe that, you will believe this one too. If you believe this, you will know about your ancestors. You will know about the amazing things God did among them. You will also know that you come from Jacob’s children. So you are part of God’s first promise to his people. If you believe in Christ and are baptized—first with water, then with fire and the Holy Spirit—you will be following our Savior’s example. You will be doing what he told us to do. Then things will go well for you on judgment day. Amen.
