Prophets Come to Warn the People
During the time of Com, many prophets came. They warned that God would destroy the people unless they changed their ways and stopped killing and doing evil. The people turned away the prophets. The prophets ran to Com for safety because the people wanted to kill them. The prophets told Com many things. God blessed him for the rest of his life.
Shiblom’s Troubled Rule
Com grew very old and had a son named Shiblom. Shiblom became the new king. But Shiblom’s brother fought against him. A huge war started across the land. Shiblom’s brother killed all the prophets who said the people would be destroyed. Big trouble came to the whole land. The prophets had said a great curse would come. They said there would be terrible destruction like nothing the earth had ever seen. The people’s bones would pile up like dirt on the ground unless they stopped their evil. The people did not listen to the Lord because of their secret evil groups. Wars and fighting started everywhere. Many people starved. Many got sick and died. Terrible destruction came like nothing ever seen before. All this happened when Shiblom was king.
The People Begin to Change
The people started to turn away from their sin. When they did, the Lord showed them mercy.
Evil Kings Continue
Then someone killed Shiblom. They took Seth as a prisoner. He stayed in prison all his life. Ahah, his son, became king. He ruled the people all his life. He did all kinds of evil things. He caused many people to be killed. He did not rule for very long. Ethem came from Ahah’s family line. He became king. He also did evil things.
More Prophets Are Rejected
When Ethem was king, many prophets came again. They told the people that the Lord would completely destroy them unless they stopped sinning. The people made their hearts hard. They would not listen. The prophets were very sad and left the people. Ethem made evil choices all his life. He had a son named Moron. Moron became king after him. Moron did evil things too.
Wars for the Kingdom
People turned against the king because of the secret group that wanted power and riches. A powerful man rose up and did evil. He fought against Moron and took half the kingdom. He kept that half for many years. Then Moron beat him and got his whole kingdom back.
Another powerful man came. He came from the family of the brother of Jared. He beat Moron and took the kingdom. So Moron stayed in prison for the rest of his life. He had a son named Coriantor. Coriantor stayed in prison all his life.
Final Warnings
When Coriantor lived, many prophets came too. They talked about great and amazing things. They told the people to change. If the people did not change, the Lord God would completely destroy them. They said the Lord God would bring another people to live in the land. He would do it the same way he brought their parents there. The people turned away all the prophets’ words. This happened because of their secret group and terrible evil. Coriantor had a son named Ether. Then Coriantor died. He had lived in prison all his life.
