Mosiah 9:11

Therefore, it came to pass that after we had dwelt in the land for the space of twelve years, that king Laman began to grow uneasy, lest by any means my people should wax strong in the land, and that they could not overpower them and bring them into bondage.

So after we lived in the land for twelve years, King Laman got worried. He was afraid my people would get too strong. He was afraid he couldn’t beat us and make us slaves.

Twelve years after we settled there, King Laman grew nervous. He worried my people were becoming too strong—that he wouldn’t be able to overpower and enslave us.
