Mosiah 3:7

1830 Edition

Changes

And lo, he shall suffer temptations, and pain of body, hunger, thirst, and fatigue, even more than man can suffer, except it be unto death:; for behold, blood cometh from every pore, so great shall be his anguish for the wickedness and the abominations of his people.

Simple English

He will face temptation and pain in his body. He will be hungry, thirsty, and tired. He will suffer more than any person can suffer without dying. Blood will come from every part of his skin because he will be so sad about the bad things his people do.

Paraphrase

“He’ll face temptation. He’ll endure physical pain, hunger, thirst, and exhaustion beyond what any human could survive—except death itself. Blood will seep from every pore because of the terrible anguish he’ll feel over the evil and wickedness of his people.”
