and if they be evil, they are consigned to an awful view of their own guilt and abominations, which doth cause them to shrink from the presence of the Lord, into a state of misery and endless torment, from whence they can no more return; therefore, they have drunk damnation to their own souls.

Changes

aAnd if they be evil, they are consigned to an awful view of their own guilt and abominations, which doth cause them to shrink from the presence of the Lord, into a state of misery and endless torment, from whence they can no more return; therefore, they have drunk damnation to their own souls.

Simple English

If their works are bad, they will see their own guilt and terrible sins. This will make them afraid to be near the Lord. They will live in sadness and pain forever. They can never come back from this. They have brought trouble on themselves.

Paraphrase

“If their actions are evil, they’ll be forced to face the full horror of their guilt and sins. They’ll shrink back from the Lord’s presence into a state of misery and endless suffering, with no way back. They’ll have brought destruction on themselves.”
