Mosiah 28:18

Now this account did cause the people of Mosiah to mourn exceedingly; yea, they were filled with sorrow; nevertheless it gave them much knowledge, in the which they did rejoice.

This story made the people of Mosiah very sad. They were filled with sorrow. But it also gave them much knowledge. This made them happy.

The account devastated Mosiah’s people. They were overwhelmed with sorrow. Yet it also filled them with knowledge, and that brought them joy.
