Mosiah 28:17

Now after Mosiah had finished translating these records, behold, it gave an account of the people which was destroyed, from the time that they were destroyed, back to the building of the great tower, at the time the Lord confounded the langauge of the people; and they were scattered abroad upon the face of all the earth, yea, and even from that time until the creation of Adam.

After Mosiah finished translating these records, they told about the people who were destroyed. They told their story from when they were destroyed back to when the great tower was built. That was when the Lord mixed up the people’s language. They were scattered all over the earth. It even told about things back to when Adam was created.

When Mosiah finished the translation, the record told the story of a destroyed people. It traced their history backward from their destruction all the way to the tower of Babel, when God confused human language and scattered people across the earth—and even back to the creation of Adam.
