and thus they were instruments in the hands of God, in bringing many to the knowledge of the truth, yea, to the knowledge of their Redeemer.

This way they were God’s tools. They brought many people to know the truth. They brought them to know their Savior.

God used them as his instruments to bring many people to the knowledge of the truth—to the knowledge of their Redeemer.
