And they rehearsed unto his father all that had happened unto them; and his father rejoiced, for he knew that it was the power of God.
Simple English
They told his father everything that happened to them. His father was happy because he knew it was God’s power.
Paraphrase
They told his father everything that had happened. His father was filled with joy, because he knew this was God’s power at work.
