Now there were not so many of the children of Nephi, or so many of those which were descendants of Nephi, as there were of the people of Zarahemla, which was a descendant of Mulok, and those which came with him into the wilderness;

Changes

Now there were not so many of the children of Nephi, or so many of those whicho were descendants of Nephi, as there were of the people of Zarahemla, whicho was a descendant of Muloek, and those whicho came with him into the wilderness;.

Simple English

There were not as many children of Nephi as there were people of Zarahemla. Zarahemla came from Mulek. Many people had come with Mulek to this land.

Paraphrase

The Nephites—descendants of Nephi—were actually outnumbered by the people of Zarahemla, who descended from Mulek and those who came with him into the wilderness.
