And again Alma commanded that the people of the Church should impart of their substance, every one according to that which he hath; if he have more abundantly, he should impart more abundantly; and he that hath but little, but little should be required; and to him that hath not should be given.

Simple English

Alma also told the church people to share what they had. Everyone should share based on what they have. If someone has lots, they should share lots. If someone has little, only a little should be asked. To those who have nothing, something should be given.

Paraphrase

Alma also told the church members to share what they had with each other. If someone had a lot, they should give a lot. If someone had only a little, only a little would be expected. And those who had nothing should receive.
