And it came to pass that they were angry with him; and they took him and carried him bound before the king, and saith unto the king, Behold, we have brought a man before thee which has prophesied evil concerning thy people, and saith that God will destroy them;

Simple English
The people were angry with him. They took him and brought him tied up to the king. They said to the king: “We have brought a man to you. He has said bad things about your people. He says God will destroy them.”
Paraphrase
The people were furious. They grabbed him, tied him up, and dragged him before the king. “We’ve brought you a man who’s been prophesying doom against your people. He says God will destroy them.”
