Mosiah 12:8

And it shall come to pass that except they repent, I will utterly destroy them from off the face of the earth; yet they shall leave a record behind them, and I will preserve them for other nations which shall possess the land; yea, even this will I do, that I may discover the abominations of this people to other nations. And many things did Abinadi prophesy against this people.

Unless they stop sinning, I will completely destroy them from the earth. But they will leave a record behind. I will save it for other nations who will live in the land. I will do this to show other nations the terrible things this people did. Abinadi spoke many things against this people.

“Unless they turn back to me, I will completely wipe them out. But they’ll leave a record behind, and I’ll preserve it for other nations who will live in this land. I want those future people to see the terrible things this generation did.” Abinadi prophesied many other things against them.
