Mosiah 11:5

For he put down all the priests that had been consecrated by his father, and consecrated new ones in their stead, such as were lifted up in the pride of their hearts.

He got rid of all the priests his father had chosen. He picked new priests who were proud and thought they were better than others.

He fired all the priests his father had appointed and replaced them with new ones—arrogant men full of themselves.
