And it came to pass that after king Benjamin had made an end of these sayings to his son, that he gave him charge concerning all the affairs of the kingdom.

After King Benjamin finished saying these things to his son, he put him in charge of all the kingdom’s business.

After Benjamin finished speaking to his son, he handed over to him all the responsibilities of the kingdom.
