Mormon 6:11
1830 Edition
And when they had gone through and hewn down all my people save it were twenty and four of us, (among whom was my son Moroni,) and we having survived the dead of our people, did behold on the morrow, when the Lamanites had returned unto their camps, from the top of the hill Camorah, the ten thousand of my people which were hewn down, being led in the front by me;
Changes
Simple English
They cut down all my people except for 24 of us. My son Moroni was one of them. We survived while the rest of our people died. The next morning, after the Lamanites had gone back to their camps, we looked out from the top of the hill Cumorah. We saw the ten thousand of my people who had been cut down. I had led them at the front.
Paraphrase
After they had slaughtered everyone except twenty-four of us—including my son Moroni—we survivors climbed to the top of Cumorah the next morning, after the Lamanites had returned to their camps. From there we looked out over the ten thousand I had led, all of them dead.
