And they were scattered upon much of the face of the land; and the Lamanites also. And they were exceeding more numerous than were they of the Nephites; and they loved murder, and would drink the blood of beasts.

Both groups were scattered across much of the land. The Lamanites were much more numerous than the Nephites. They loved to kill people and would drink the blood of wild animals.

They were spread out across the land—and so were the Lamanites, who vastly outnumbered the Nephites. The Lamanites loved violence and even drank animal blood.
