And I sayeth unto him, Then ye do not understand them; for they truly testify of Christ. Behold, I say unto you, That none of the prophets have written, nor prophesied, save they have spoken concerning this Christ.

Simple English

I said to him: “Then you don’t understand them. They tell about Christ. All the prophets who have written have talked about Christ.”

Paraphrase

“Then you don’t understand them. They testify of Christ. Every prophet who ever wrote or spoke was talking about this Christ.”
