Helaman 16:23

and notwithstanding the signs and the wonders which was wrought among the people of the Lord, and the many miracles which they did, satan did get great hold upon the hearts of the people, upon all the face of the land.

Even though there were signs and wonderful things among the Lord’s people, and many miracles, Satan still got a strong hold on people’s hearts. This was all over the land.

Despite all the signs and wonders performed among God’s people, despite all the miracles they witnessed, Satan got a powerful grip on people’s hearts throughout the land.
