Changes

But behold my brethren, the Lamanites hath he hated, because their deeds have been evil continually;, and this because of the iniquity of the tradition of their fathers. But behold, salvation hath come unto them, through the preaching of the Nephites; and for this intent hath the Lord prolonged their days.

Simple English

But my brothers, he hated the Lamanites. This is because they kept doing evil. This happened because their ancestors taught them wrong things. But now they can be saved. This came through the Nephites teaching them. This is why the Lord has let them live longer.

Paraphrase

But look at the Lamanites. God allowed them to suffer because their evil ways never stopped—all because of the lies passed down from their ancestors. Yet salvation has come to them through Nephite missionaries. That’s why the Lord has kept them around this long.
