Helaman 11:7

And it came to pass that the people saw that they were about to perish by famine, and they began to remember the Lord their God; and they began to remember the words of Nephi.

The people saw they were about to die from hunger. They began to remember the Lord their God. They began to remember Nephi’s words.

When the people saw they were about to starve to death, they started remembering the Lord their God. They started remembering what Nephi had said.
