and when the night came they were drunken with anger, even as a man which is drunken with wine; and they slept again upon their swords;

When night came they were so full of anger it was like being drunk on wine. They slept again on their swords.

When night came, they were drunk with rage—like someone intoxicated with wine. Again they slept clutching their swords.
