Ether 13:6

and that a New Jerusalem should be built up upon this land, unto the remnant of the seed of Joseph, for the which things there has been a type:

A New Jerusalem would be built on this land for the children of Joseph’s family who were left. There has been a symbol of these things.

And the New Jerusalem would be built here on this land for the descendants of Joseph. There’s a pattern to all this.
