Alma 6:8

And Alma went and began to declare the word of God unto the church which was established in the valley of Gideon, according to the revelation of the truth of the word which had been spoken by his fathers, and according to the spirit of prophecy which was in him, according to the testimony of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, which should come for to redeem his people from their sins, and the holy order by which he was called. And thus it is written. Amen.

Alma went and began to teach God’s word to the church in the valley of Gideon. He taught the truth that had been told by his fathers. He taught by the spirit of prophecy that was in him. He taught about Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Jesus would come to save his people from their sins. This is the holy order that Alma was called to. This is written. Amen.

Alma began preaching God’s word to the church established in Gideon’s valley. He taught the truth that had been revealed through his ancestors, guided by the spirit of prophecy within him and the testimony of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who would come to redeem his people from their sins. This was the sacred calling he’d been given. And so it is written. Amen.
