And it came to pass that they did, notwithstanding all the intrigues of the Lamanites, keep and protect all the prisoners which they had taken, and also maintain all the ground and the advantage which they had retaken.

Even though the Lamanites tried many tricks, the Nephites kept and protected all the prisoners they had taken. They also kept all the land and advantages they had won back.

Despite all the schemes the Lamanites tried, the Nephites kept and protected every prisoner they’d taken, and held on to all the ground and advantages they’d regained.
