And it came to pass that when he had fortified the city Gid, according to his desires, he caused that his prisoners should be taken to the city Bountiful. And he also guarded that city with an exceeding strong force.

When he had made the city of Gid strong like he wanted, he had his prisoners taken to the city of Bountiful. He also guarded that city with a very strong force.

Once he’d fortified Gid to his satisfaction, he had the Lamanite prisoners transported to the city of Bountiful, which he also guarded with a powerful force.
