But as I have said in the latter end of the nineteenth; yea, notwithstanding their peace amongst themselves, they were compelled reluctantly to contend with their brethren, the Lamanites;

But as I said, in the end of the nineteenth year something changed. Even though they had peace among themselves, they had to fight their brothers, the Lamanites. They did not want to fight.
