Alma 48:20

And thus they went forth, and the people did humble themselves because of their words, insomuch that they were highly favored of the Lord; and thus they were free from wars and contentions among themselves; yea, even for the space of four years.

And so they went out teaching. The people humbled themselves because of their words. God blessed them very much. They were free from wars and fights among themselves for four years.

As they went out teaching, the people humbled themselves because of their message. They were so favored by the Lord that they had no wars or conflicts among themselves for four whole years.
