Alma 48:10

And thus he was preparing to support their liberty, their lands, their wives, and their children, and their peace, and that they might live unto the Lord their God, and that they might maintain that which was called by their enemies the cause of Christians.

He was preparing to protect their freedom. He wanted to protect their lands, their wives, and their children. He wanted to protect their peace. He wanted them to live for the Lord their God. He wanted to keep what their enemies called the cause of Christians.

He was preparing to defend their freedom, their land, their wives and children, their peace—so they could live for the Lord their God and uphold what their enemies mockingly called ‘the cause of Christians.’
