Alma 44:2

Behold, we have not come out to battle against you, that we might shed your blood, for power; neither do we desire to bring any one to the yoke of bondage. But this is the very cause for which ye have come against us; yea, and ye are angry with us because of our religion.

We didn’t come to fight you to kill you or to have power. We don’t want to force anyone to be slaves. But that’s the reason you came against us. You are angry with us because of our religion.

“We didn’t come here to shed blood for power. We don’t want to enslave anyone. But that’s exactly why you came after us—you’re angry about our religion.”
