Alma 43:45

Nevertheless, the Nephites were inspired by a better cause; for they were not fighting for monarchy nor power; but they were fighting for their homes, and their liberties, their wives, and their children, and their all; yea, for their rites of worship, and their church;

But the Nephites were fighting for a better reason. They were not fighting to be kings or to have power. They were fighting for their homes, their freedom, their wives, and their children. They were fighting for their right to worship and their church.

But the Nephites were inspired by something greater. They weren’t fighting for power or conquest. They were fighting for their homes, their freedoms, their wives, their children—everything they had. They were fighting for the right to worship and for their faith.
