Alma 42:1
1830 Edition
And now, my son, I perceive there is somewhat more which doth worry your mind, which ye cannot understand, which is concerning the justice of God, in the punishment of the sinner: for ye do try to suppose that it is injustice that the sinner should be consigned to a state of misery.
Changes
And now, my son, I perceive there is somewhat more which doth worry your mind, which ye cannot understand, —which is concerning the justice of God, in the punishment of the sinner:; for ye do try to suppose that it is injustice that the sinner should be consigned to a state of misery.
Simple English
My son, I see that something else is bothering you. You don’t understand God’s fairness when he punishes sinners. You think it’s not fair that sinners have to be miserable.
Paraphrase
There’s something else bothering you, son—something you can’t quite understand. It’s about God’s justice in punishing sinners. You think it’s unfair that a sinner ends up in misery.
