Alma 33:2

And Alma saith unto them, Behold, ye have said that ye could not worship your God, because ye are cast out of your synagogues. But behold, I say unto you, If ye suppose that ye cannot worship God, ye do greatly err, and ye had ought to search the Scriptures; for if ye suppose that they have taught you this, ye do not understand them.

Alma said to them: You have said that you can’t worship your God because you were thrown out of your churches. But I say to you: If you think you can’t worship God, you are very wrong. You need to read the Scriptures. If you think the Scriptures taught you this, you don’t understand them.

Alma answered them: “You said you couldn’t worship God because you’ve been kicked out of your synagogues. But listen—if you really think you can’t worship God, you’re badly mistaken. You need to search the Scriptures. If you think they taught you that, you’ve misunderstood them completely.”
