And Korihor put forth his hand, and wrote, saying: I know that I am dumb, for I cannot speak; and I know that nothing, save it were the power of God, could bring this upon me; yea, and I also knew that there was a God.

Simple English
Korihor wrote back: I know I am unable to speak because I can’t talk. I know only God’s power could do this to me. I also knew there was a God.
Paraphrase
Korihor reached out and wrote: “I know I can’t speak. I know that nothing but God’s power could have done this to me. And I also knew there was a God.”
