Alma 3:10

therefore whomsoever suffered himself to be led away by the Lamanites, were called under that head, and there was a mark set upon him.

So whoever let the Lamanites lead them away was called by that name, and there was a mark put on them.

So whoever let themselves be led away by the Lamanites was counted among them, and marked.
