Alma 25:1

And behold, now it came to pass that those Lamanites were more angry, because they had slain their brethren; therefore they swore vengeance upon the Nephites; and they did no more attempt to slay the people of Anti-Nephi-Lehi at that time;

Simple English

The Lamanites were angry because they had killed their own people. So they promised to get revenge on the Nephites. They stopped trying to kill the people of Anti-Nephi-Lehi.

Paraphrase

The Lamanites who had just killed their own brothers were furious—angry at themselves, angry at the Nephites. They swore revenge on the Nephites and left the people of Anti-Nephi-Lehi alone for the time being.
