Alma 17:27

therefore as Ammon and the servants of the king were driving forth their flocks to this place of water, behold, a certain number of the Lamanites who had been with their flocks to water, stood and scattered the flocks of Ammon, and the servants of the king, and they scattered them insomuch that they fled many ways.

So Ammon and the king’s servants were taking their flocks to this water. A group of Lamanites who had been watering their flocks stood there. They scattered the flocks of Ammon and the king’s servants. They scattered them so much that they ran in many different directions.

As Ammon and the king’s servants were driving their flocks to the water, a group of Lamanites who’d already watered their animals attacked them and scattered the flocks in every direction.
