Alma 12:6

And behold, I say unto you all, that this was a snare of the adversary, which he hath laid to catch this people, that he might bring you into subjection unto him, that he might encircle you about with his chains, that he might chain you down to everlasting destruction, according to the power of his captivity.

This was a trap set by the Devil to catch these people. He wants to control you. He wants to wrap his chains around you. He wants to chain you down forever, using the power he has to trap people.

This is a trap the enemy set to catch all of you. He wants to drag you into his control, wrap you in his chains, and pull you down to destruction forever. That’s the power of his grip.“
