Alma 12:33

But God did call on men, in the name of his Son, (this being the plan of redemption which was laid,) saying: If ye will repent, and harden not your hearts, then will I have mercy upon you, through mine only begotten Son;

But God called to people in the name of his Son. This is the plan to save people. He said: If you turn away from wrong and don’t close your hearts, I will show you mercy through my only Son.

But God called out to people in the name of his Son—this is the plan of redemption—saying: ‘If you’ll repent and not harden your hearts, I’ll have mercy on you through my only Son.’
