Alma 12:13

Then if our hearts have been hardened, yea, if we have hardened our hearts against the word, insomuch that it hath not been found in us, then will our state be awful, for then we shall be condemned:

If we close our hearts and refuse God’s word, then our situation will be terrible. We will be found guilty.

So if our hearts have been hard—if we’ve shut out God’s word so completely that it never took root in us—then our situation will be terrible. We’ll stand condemned.
